First generation

Hi, my name is Michael Greco. I’m the owner/operator at Little O and am first generation as a rancher. My goal is to work with the land, build connection, and to live with intention. It’s to raise livestock in an ethical manner that will conserve and give back to the land while providing families with nutrient dense food.

It’s about being a part of returning our food system to local farmers and ranchers. It’s about community and bridging the gap between buyer and producer. It’s about us having a connection with what we eat and knowing it was raised with compassion, love and care. It’s about land stewardship and working as a part of the ecosystem and not against it. It’s about slowing down and paying attention. It’s about thinking small and close to the heart. And It’s about caring deeply for something and working hard towards it.

I look forward to raising food you can share with your family.

Why Grass fed Lamb?

Lamb that is solely fed grass is a great source of omega-3 fatty acids, which is known to help with brain health in young children, improve risk factors for heart disease, reduces inflammation, improves joint and bone health, and much more. Lamb is also known to have one of the highest levels of conjugated linoleic acid which in studies has shown to help with blood sugar levels, improve digestion, improve the immune system and help protect against heart disease risk. It’s a great source of vitamin B-12, zinc and iron. B-12 supports bone health, red blood cell formation and energy. Zinc helps our immune system and metabolism function. And iron helps carry oxygen in our blood and improves cognition.
